What is the MiFi 2352?
Nothing is more boring than a device that solves problems you don’t have.The MiFi 2352 is not such a device. It solves some big problems for mobile warriors. What is it? It’s a small device, smaller than an iPhone, that converts any 3G signal into WIFI. Put the SIM-card from your phone in the MiFi and suddenly you have WIFI where ever you are. So what problems are solved? Here are three.
PROBLEM #1: CAN’T CALL CHEAP
So you installed Skype on your phone to make cheap calls to your friends on the other end of the world? How dare you 
! Most telco’s don’t allow you to use Skype when you are using your mobile phone when you are …mobile. They forbid you to use HDSPA, Edge or 3G to make phone calls to distant people. You can only use Skype if you are connected to a WIFI network.

PROBLEM #2: BAD RECEPTION
So you have that expensive data-subscription to get internet where ever you go. But especially inside buildings, the promised HDSPA speed stays a promise. You get GRPS, much, much slower. In our office in Amersfoort (NL) we had the same problem with the WebNWalk from T-Mobile. No HDSPA, only GRPS.
SOLUTION: MiFi 2352
We put the MiFi on the edge of the upper window in our office. Then the miracle happened. The LED started to blink violet (=HDSPA). A few meters from our workstations, the reception showed to be excellent.
PROBLEM #3 CAN’T WATCH TV ON MY MOBILE PHONE
Do you know the Slingbox? It’s an device that uses your own TV or PVR over the internet. Watch the local news on another continent through your laptop. But don’t try to do this on your phone, f.e. the iPhone. It’s not allowed to watch your local cable when you’re mobile. No, you will have to have WIFI for that.

I did many presentations where the promised internet connection wasn’t there or fire-walled for outsiders. With the MiFi 2352, you won’t get surprises. Find a window in or near the room you give your presentation and voila, there is your own WIFI-network. Connect to it with your laptop.

College Students
